| The Flint 700 Club held its' 11th
annual Trio Tournament on Sunday, March 6th, 2005 at Town & Country Lanes in
Flint, Michigan. This years tournament attracted a total of 103 teams, an
increase of 1 team from last years tournament that was held at Colonial
Lanes. This years trio tournament champions were Susan Fisackerly, Scott
McCallister and Mike Walz with a winning score of 2135 with handicap. The
team was thrown together at the last minute and bowled on the 2nd squad
after a mix up with the rules made teams switch 2 partners instead of the
normal 1 partner. The team shot 2105 actual (highest of the
tournament) as Susan Fisackerly shot a 279 game in a 662 series, Scott
McCallister supplied a 260 game in a 706 series and Mike Walz led the team
with a 737 actual series. The 279 by Fisackerly was the highest game of the
tournament for a woman. The tournament's runner up team consisted of Tom
Simpson, Jeff Simpson, and Rob Ploof. The
threesome had 2108 with handicap and was led by Jeff Simpson with a 737
actual series which included a 279 game, Tom Simpson chipped in with a 683
actual. The third place team consisted of April Voorheis, Corey
Miller, and Rick Bausack, they shot 2096 with handicap. Corey Miller led the
way with a 300 game in a 799 actual series, and Rick Bausack supplied a 716
actual to the threesome. The 799 actual was the high series of the
tournament and propelled Miller to the 2004-2005 Jim McTaggart Bowler of the
Year Award. The 3rd place finish also propelled April Voorheis to the
2004-2005 Mary Klein Woman Bowler of the Year Award. The tournament
witnessed several award scores as Jason Howard started the fireworks with a
300 game on the first squad which propelled him to a 724 series. David
Kammerzell shot 299 in a 763 series and Tim Bailey shot 298 in a 716 series.
The tournament produced a total of (40) 700 series with new City Record
holder Justin Crosby with the 2nd highest set of the day with a 794 actual
series. The high woman's series for the day was shot by Pam Ploof who shot
707 actual which included a 270 game. The total prize fund was over $3200
with the top 12 teams
cashing in the tournament and the winning threesome bagging $610. The low
score for cashing was 2065 and was worth $32 as two teams had to split the
final payout spot. The final standings, pay-out list, and individual scores can

season has been completed for the Flint 700 Club but there is still one
more tournament, the National 700 Club Tournament which will be held at
Galaxy Lanes in Grand Blanc in the months of May and June. Check the links
on this site for more information, the final deadline to turn in entries
for the National tournament is April 15th, don't miss out.
