700 CLUB 2005 "425" DOUBLES TOURNAMENT |

| The Flint 700 Club
held their 3rd annual 425 doubles tournament on Sunday, December 4th at
Richfield Bowl in Flint, Michigan. The tournament attracted 123
doubles teams this year a decrease of 4 teams compared to last years
tournament that was held at Colonial Lanes. Bowlers where allowed to
switch partners after the first squad as long as the 2 bowlers average
did not exceed the 425 limit. The winning doubles team this year was
Walker Thorton and Bill Hinderer who totaled 1512 with handicap to take home the $417 top
prize. Bill Hinderer led the doubles team with a 768 actual which
included a 300 game and Walker supplied a
681 actual. The team was helped out by 63 pins of handicap which it
needed to win the tournament. The 2nd
place finishers in this years tournament were Pam & Rob Ploof with a 1507 score that was worth $348 in prize money.
Pam Ploof led the doubles team with a 296 game and a 787 actual series,
the highest scores for a woman in the tournament, her husband Rob
supplied a 693 actual to the teams 1480 actual score which was the
highest of the tournament. Third place
finishers were Mike Ashby and Tony Sposeto with a score of 1424. In all the
tournament paid out $2317 in prize money. Low in the money was 14th
place with a score of 1375. In all there were 25 series of 700 or better for the
entire tournament. The high individual scorer of the tournament was Tony
Sposeto who had the high actual series of
801. There were (4) 300 games bowled, by Bill Hinderer, Marc Grosinsky,
J.C. Smith and Robert Alexander. Alexander was the individual scoring leader of the

30 days. The next 700 club tournament will be held on January
22nd, 2006 at Grand Blanc Lanes, this is the annual singles tournament
and scores from this tournament will be sent to nationals to determine a

2nd Place Rob & Pam Ploof 1507 total Pam Ploof high women's game and series of the tournament with a 296 game and 787 actual series.
Tony Sposeto Overall High Series of the tournament with an 801 actual series, also finished in 3rd place with a 1424 total.
