Minutes from 700 Club Board Meeting:

Meeting was called to order by King Pin Keith Cross. Start of meeting was at 6:15pm at Greater Flint Bowling Association. Keith Cross thanked everyone on the board for all their help during his tenure as King Pin. King Pin Keith Cross then introduced the new King Pin Susan Fisackerly for the upcoming season 2009-2010.

King Pin Susan Fisackerly asked Pin Buoy John Loncarevic for roll call. The following board members were present: Troy Stamm, Robert Tubbs, Darrell Craw, Gil Stamm, Mike Martin, Jon Roof, Keith Cross, Aaron Coon, Phil Venagas, Susan Fisackerly, Kevin Dyer, Paul Grondin, Herb Green, Brad Lokken and John Loncarevic. Also special guest  Jerry Fisackerly.

Minutes of the last meeting June 22nd, 2008 King Pin Susan Fisackerly asked for a motion on the minutes for the last meeting. Motion to accept minutes by Mike Martin and Paul Grondin seconded the motion. The motion passed by the board.

The treasurer's report was given by Scorer, Gil Stamm. A balance of $2,188.13 remained after the following expenditures: gifts for the Singles Tournament plus donation from the club, donation to the Kick of Tournament, donation to the 430 Doubles Tournament, donation to the Trio Tournament and $50 to the 11th Frame for advertisement. Shirt orders for new members and shirt reorders. Also National Membership Dues, Pin Buoy fees, Scorer Fees and mailing of the newsletter are paid for the 2007-2008 year. Paul Grondin made a motion with Phil Venegas seconding the motion to accept the treasurer's report. The motion passed by the board. Robert Tubbs and Jon Roof at this time presented a check for $417 to Gil Stamm from the National 700 Tournament, which we gave back $1 per member for bowling in the tournament.

Report of the Pin Buoy

John Loncarevic expressed his appreciation for all the work done by the those who worked on our tournaments. John noted that for 2008-2009 year we had 58 new members, 16 reordered shirts (red), 5 unattached national members and a total of 403 members bowled in one or more tournaments. I would like to thank the late Gerald Puckett for being my friend and bowling partner for over 25 years. He has been an icon for all of bowling. His life was to serve and help all of bowling. I thank him and I will miss him very much.

Report of the Tournament Director

Robert Tubbs passed out bank reconciliation on the Tournament account, and thanked everyone for their help. Interest in the tournaments has grown over the years, and this will force us to close some tournament squads in advance of the tournament date. Please mail in your entry in advance to avoid being shut out. No reservations will be accepted without a paid entry.

Old Business

John Loncarevic asked to use money set aside for a new national web site. Reason John Loncarevic was elected as National Grand Pin Buoy and Scorer. Also Robert Tubbs was appointed Assistant Grand Pin Buoy and Scorer who will run the web site. Also Darrell Craw was elected as Upper Central Region, Regional Director replacing the late Gerald Puckett.

New Business

A motion by Darrell Craw and second by Troy Stamm to change Senior 430 Doubles to New Tournament (55 over/under 430 Doubles). Reason this allows all 700 club members to participate. This makes older and younger to bowl with each other with a 430 average. After lengthy discussion the board passed the motion to change to the new tournament.

A motion by Mike Martin and seconded by Phil Venegas to give John Loncarevic and Gil Stamm a raise of $0.25 to their existing pay. After discussion motion was passed by the board.

Youth Scholarship 2009 - Robert Tubbs presented Flint Area USBC Youth Scholarship in the name of Pete Mangnaracina. A check to GFUSBC Youth for $265 for 2010 Scholarship from the General Fund. This will get us one year ahead of the end of the season distribution.

700 Club Sponsorship - Motion by Susan Fisackerly and Jon Roof seconding the motion to change the 700 Club Sponsorship to $300 per tournament. Part will be used for Senior Bonuses and part will be used to increase prize fund.

Club Dues

Club dues will remain at $5.00 New Membership fees are $55 .

Dress Code

700 Club shirts may be worn with pride in tournaments and leagues. Dark Blue, Black, or Red slacks, skorts, or pants are standard for all 700 Club tournaments. Dress Codes are diligently enforced.  Those in violation will be assessed a fine of $5.00 for first violation. Thereafter, members in violation the second time will not be allowed to bowl until they comply. We are one of the top 700 Clubs of America and we want to maintain the highest level and pride of our club. Exceptions are allowed for new members who have not received their shirts or persons who have ordered new shirts. Note: Our reorder for new shirts and new members will receive red shirts, our old white shirts may be worn until you reorder a new shirt. (It is your option to order a new shirt it is not mandatory you can wear the white shirts as long as you want.) New Shirt re-order fees are $40.

Fines

Fines of $1.00 for games of 270 or higher without a 700 series are assessed. (As a member it is your responsibility to give your fine to a 700 Club board member.) The fines you pay help to support our 700 Club.

Dress code Enforcers- Doug Warren and Brad Lokken for the 2009-2010 year. Job is to keep our club codes intact and collect fines.

2009/2010 Tournament and Committees

NOTE: Due to our tournament growing over the years no reservations will be accepted without a paid entry.

850 Team Kick Off Tournament (4 person team, limited to 56 teams)-- September 27th, 2009 at AMF Town & Country Lanes, Flint, MI. Entry fee $80.00 with check in at 9:00 am, bowling at 10:00 am. Committee consists of Doug Warren, Brad Lokken and board. Handicap is 100% difference between average and 850.

State Jamboree Tournament--October __, 2009 in Ann Arbor, MI.  Entries at Kick Off Tournament.

430 Doubles Tournament--December 6th, 2009 at Colonial Lanes, Flushing, MI.

2 squads: Squad A:  Check in at 9:00 am  bowl at 10:00 am
  Squad B:  Check in at 12:30 pm bowl at 1:30 pm
Entry Fee is $40.00 ($20 a person) Handicap is 100% of difference between average and 430. Applications at Kick Off Tournament. Committee consists of Herb Green and board.

Singles Tournament---January 17th, 2010 at Richfield Bowl, Flint, MI

2 squads: Squad A:  Check in at 9:00 am  bowl at 10:00 am
  Squad B:  Check in at 12:30 pm bowl at 1:30 pm
Entry Fee $20 and will bowl by divisions: 179 and under, 180-189, 190-199, 200-214 and 215+. Entry blanks at 430 Tournament and houses thereafter. Tournament. Committee consists of Paul Grondin and board.

Senior (55 Over/Under) 430 Doubles Tournament--February 7th, 2010 at Nightingale Lanes, Burton, MI.

1 squad: Squad A:  Check in at 10:00 am  bowl at 11:00 am
Entry Fee is $40.00 ($20 a person) Handicap is 100% of difference between average and 430. Applications at Singles Tournament. Committee consists of Phil Venegas and board.

640 Trio Tournament-- March 7th, 2010 at Grand Blanc Lanes, Grand Blanc, MI

2 squads: Squad A:  Check in at 9:00 am  bowl at 10:00 am
  Squad B:  Check in at 12:30 pm bowl at 1:30 pm
Entry Fee $60 ($20 per member). Handicap is 100% of team difference between average and 640. Applications at Singles Tournament and houses thereafter. Tournament. Committee consists of Kevin Dyer and two volunteers.

***Susan Fisackerly - Helper for all Tournaments *****

National 700 4 Person Tournament--Galaxy Lanes, Grand Blanc, MI.  Applications in houses by Kick Off Tournament.  Will take place June 5th & June 6th. Cost per bowler per event is $25.  Singles, doubles and team (4 person). Team bowling is 2 squads on Saturday at Grand Blanc Lanes, singles and doubles on Sunday at Galaxy Lanes. $5.00 optional all events. This is your chance to bowl in a National Tournament, which is hosted by the Flint 700 Club. We are excited to have the opportunity to have this tournament and know we have your support. A golf scramble will be scheduled for Friday, June 4th, 2010. National Tournament will be sponsored for $1,000 ($500 National, $500 Flint Local)

Extra special thanks to Sue Thomason, Jerry Fisackerly and all who helped with 50/50 and raffles. The board passed the motion and the meeting was adjourned.
