Minutes from 700 Club Board Meeting:
Meeting was called to order by King Pin Mike Martin. Start of meeting was at 6:01pm at Greater Flint Bowling Association. Mike Martin thanked everyone on the board for all their help during his tenure as King Pin. King Pin Mike Martin then introduced the new King Pin Keith Cross for the upcoming season 2008-2009.
King Pin Keith Cross asked Pin Buoy John Loncarevic for roll call. The following board members were present: Troy Stamm, Robert Tubbs, Darrell Craw, Gil Stamm, Mike Martin, Jon Roof, Keith Cross, Aaron Coon, Rudy Venagas, Susan Fisackerly, Kevin Dyer, Paul Grondin, Herb Green and John Loncarevic. Also special guest Jerry Fisackerly.
Minutes of the last meeting June 12th, 2007 King Pin Keith Cross asked for a motion on the minutes for the last meeting. Motion to accept minutes by Darrell Craw and Susan Fisackerly seconded the motion. The motion passed by the board.
The treasurer's report was given by Scorer, Gil Stamm. A balance of $3,387.01 remained after the following expenditures: gifts for the Singles Tournament plus $200 donation from the club, $200 donation to the Kick of Tournament, $224 to the State Jamboree ($1.00 for each chapter member entered), $200 donation to the 425 Doubles Tournament, $200 donation to the Trio Tournament and $50 to the 11th Frame for advertisement. Shirt orders for new members and shirt reorders. Also National Membership Dues, Pin Buoy fees, Scorer Fees and mailing of the newsletter are paid for the 2006-2007 year. Robert Tubbs made a motion with Darrell Craw seconding the motion to accept the treasurer's report. The motion passed by the board. Robert Tubbs and Jon Roof at this time presented a check for $486 to Gil Stamm from the National 700 Tournament, which we gave back $1 per member for bowling in the tournament.
Report of the Pin Buoy
John Loncarevic expressed his appreciation for all the work done by the board members and past officers for the 2007-2008 tournaments. Without them we would not have a 700 club it is a lot of dedication to keep this club running. John noted that for 2007-2008 year we had 50 new members, 25 reordered shirts (red), 5 unattached national members and a total of 388 members bowled in one or more tournaments.
Report of the Tournament Director
Robert Tubbs passed out bank reconciliation on the Tournament account, and thanked everyone for their help. Interest in the tournaments has grown over the years, and this will force us to close some tournament squads in advance of the tournament date. Please mail in your entry in advance to avoid being shut out. No reservations will be accepted without a paid entry.
Old Business
Board members expressed concerns over the non-participation of Monroe Bowlers in the 700 Club National Tournaments
New Business
Dress Code - Motion by Robert Tubbs and Susan Fisackerly seconding motion to add White Slacks to existing dress code. Motion passed by the board.
New Senior (55 & over) Doubles Tournament - Motion by Gil Stamm and Troy Stamm seconding motion to add the 425 Senior (55 & over) Doubles to the 700 Club Schedule. Later changed to the 430 Senior (55 & Over) Doubles Tournament.
Tournaments - Motion by Kevin Dyer and Jon Roof seconding motion to change the 425 Doubles Tournament to the 430 Doubles Tournament and the 635 Trio Tournament to the 640 Trio Tournament. Motion passed by the board.
Youth Scholarship 2008 - Motion by Gil Stamm and Jon Roof seconding motion to present Flint Area USBC Youth Scholarship in the name of Don Ponsetto. Send a check to GF USBC Youth for $265 for 2009 from the General Fund. This will get us one year ahead of the end of season distribution.
700 Club Sponsorship - Motion by Susan Fisackerly and Jon Roof seconding the motion to change the 700 Club Sponsorship to $300 per tournament. Part will be used for Senior Bonuses and part will be used to increase prize fund.
Club Dues
Club dues will remain at $5.00 New Membership fees increased to $55 do to National dues increase.
Dress Code
700 Club shirts may be worn with pride in tournaments and leagues. Dark Blue, Black, or Red slacks, skorts, or pants are standard for all 700 Club tournaments. Dress Codes are diligently enforced. Those in violation will be assessed a fine of $5.00 for first violation. Thereafter, members in violation the second time will not be allowed to bowl until they comply. We are one of the top 700 Clubs of America and we want to maintain the highest level and pride of our club. Exceptions are allowed for new members who have not received their shirts or persons who have ordered new shirts. Note: Our reorder for new shirts and new members will receive red shirts, our old white shirts may be worn until you reorder a new shirt. (It is your option to order a new shirt it is not mandatory you can wear the white shirts as long as you want.) New Shirt re-order fees increased to $40 do to postage increase.
Fines
Fines of $1.00 for games of 270 or higher without a 700 series are assessed. (As a member it is your responsibility to give your fine to a 700 Club board member.) The fines you pay help to support our 700 Club.
Dress code Enforcers- Herb Green and Paul Grondin for the 2008-2009 year. Job is to keep our club codes intact and collect fines.
2008/2009 Tournament and Committees
NOTE: Due to our tournament growing over the years no reservations will be accepted without a paid entry.
850 Team Kick Off Tournament (4 person team, limited to 40 teams)-- September 28th, 2008 at Colonial Lanes, Flushing, MI. Entry fee $80.00 with check in at 9:00 am, bowling at 10:00 am. Committee consists of Paul Grondin, Herb Green and board. Handicap is 100% difference between average and 850.
State Jamboree Tournament--October 26th, 2008 at Monroe Sports Center, Monroe, MI. Entries at Kick Off Tournament.
430 Doubles Tournament--December 7th, 2008 at Nightingale Lanes, Burton, MI.

National 700 4 Person Tournament--Galaxy Lanes, Grand Blanc, MI. Applications in houses by Kick Off Tournament. Will take place during the months of May & June. Cost per bowler per event is $25. Singles, doubles and team (4 person). Team bowling is 3 squads on Saturday, singles and doubles on Sunday. $5.00 optional all events. This is your chance to bowl in a National Tournament, which is hosted by the Flint 700 Club. We are excited to have the opportunity to have this tournament and know we have your support.
Extra special thanks to Sue Thomason, Jerry Fisackerly and all who helped with 50/50 and raffles. The board passed the motion and the meeting was adjourned at 8:40 p.m.
