Minutes from 700 Club Board Meeting:

Meeting was called to order by King Pin Aaron Coon. Start of meeting was at 6:03pm at Mario's Restaurant. Aaron Coons thanked everyone on the board for all their help during his tenure as King Pin. King Pin Aaron Coon then introduced the new King Pin Mike Martin.

King Pin Mike Martin asked Pin Buoy John Loncarevic for roll call. The following board members were present: Gerald Puckett, Troy Stamm, Robert Tubbs, Darrell Craw, Gil Stamm, Mike Martin, Jon Roof, Keith Cross, Aaron Coon, Rudy Venagas, Susan Fisackerly, Kevin Dyer, Paul Grondin and John Loncarevic. Also special guest Sue Thomason and Jerry Fisackerly.

Minutes of the last meeting June 20th, 2006 King Pin Mike Martin asked for a motion on the minutes for the last meeting. Motion to accept minutes by Robert Tubbs and Jon Roof seconded the motion. The motion passed by the board.

The treasurer's report was given by Scorer, Gil Stamm. A balance of $3,461.66 remained after the following expenditures: gifts for the Singles Tournament plus $200 donation from the club, $200 donation to the Kick of Tournament, $224 to the State Jamboree ($1.00 for each chapter member entered), $200 donation to the 425 Doubles Tournament, $200 donation to the Trio Tournament and $50 to the 11th Frame for advertisement. Shirt orders for new members and shirt reorders. Also National Membership Dues, Pin Buoy fees, Scorer Fees and mailing of the newsletter are paid for the 2005-2006 year. Susan Fisackerly made a motion with Aaron Coon seconding the motion to accept the treasurer's report. The motion passed by the board. Robert Tubbs and Jon Roof at this time presented a check for $686 to Gil Stamm from the National 700 Tournament, which we gave back $1 per member for bowling in the tournament.

Report of the Pin Buoy

John Loncarevic expressed his appreciation for all the work done by the board members and past officers for the 2006-2007 tournaments. Without them we would not have a 700 club it is a lot of dedication to keep this club running. John noted that for 2006-2007 year we had 47 new members, 17 reordered shirts (red), 10 unattached national members and a total of 386 members bowled in one or more tournaments.

Old Business

Check from Robert Tubbs and Jon Roof from National 700 Tournament for $686.00 to scorer Gil Stamm.

New Business

2008 National Tournament - Motion made by Jon Roof and Keith Cross seconding motion to host National 700 Tournament for 2008. Also will be possible golf outing on Friday before June weekend (more information will follow soon).

National 700 Web Site - John Loncarevic requested board to start up new web site. After long discussion Jon Roof  made a motion and Troy Stamm seconding to help start a web site for $400.00. This will still need approval from National Board to start web site. Motion passed by board.

Change division for Singles - New divisions (200-214) and (215- up) after discussion motion made by Kevin Dyer and Aaron Coon seconding to change divisions. Motion passed by board.

Code Enforcer - Motion by Keith Cross that we need a code enforcer board passed motion elected Keith Cross and helper Paul Grondin newest member to the board. Job is to keep our club codes intact and to collect fines.

Term for Tournament Director - After discussion motion passed by Aaron Coon and Jon Roof seconding motion that tournament director terms to be 2 years and paid $0.35 per entry per tournament. Motion passed by board.

Scholarship Program for Greater Flint USBC Youth Association (City Tournament) - In memory of a named by Flint 700 Club. For 2007 was Heather (Smith) Kaczmarek who passed November 27, 2006. Total of scholarships is two at $125.00 for 2008. "700" Club will give two $125 scholarships. The board will review program each year. Motion made by Darrel Craw and second by Troy Stamm. Motion passed by  board.

Club Dues

Club dues will remain at $5.00

Dress Code

700 Club shirts may be worn with pride in tournaments and leagues. Dark Blue, Black, or Red slacks, skorts, or pants are standard for all 700 Club tournaments. Dress Codes are diligently enforced.  Those in violation will be assessed a fine of $5.00 for first violation. Thereafter, members in violation the second time will not be allowed to bowl until they comply. We are one of the top 700 Clubs of America and we want to maintain the highest level and pride of our club. Exceptions are allowed for new members who have not received their shirts or persons who have ordered new shirts. Note: Our reorder for new shirts and new members will receive red shirts, our old white shirts may be worn until you reorder a new shirt. (It is your option to order a new shirt it is not mandatory you can wear the white shirts as long as you want.)

Fines

Fines of $1.00 for games of 270 or higher without a 700 series are assessed. (As a member it is your responsibility to give your fine to a 700 Club board member.) The fines you pay help to support our 700 Club.

2007/2008 Tournament and Committees

NOTE: ENTRY FEE HAS CHANGED TO $20 A PERSON

850 Team Kick Off Tournament-- New -4 person team, limited to 32 teams - September 30th, 2007 at Nightingale Lanes, Burton, Mi.

1 squad:    Check in at 9:00 am bowling at 10:00 am.  Entry fee is $80 per team. Committee consists of Phil Venegas, Paul Grondin and board.

State Jamboree Tournament--October 28th, 2007 at Monroe, Mi (River Raisin Chapter).  Entries at Kick Off Tournament. Entry fee $80.00 (4 person team). Handicap is 80% of 220.

425 Doubles Tournament--December 9th, 2007 at Colonial Lanes, Flushing, MI.

2 squads: Squad A:  Check in at 9:00 am  bowl at 10:00 am
  Squad B:  Check in at 12:30 pm bowl at 1:30 pm
Entry Fee is $40.00 ($20 a person) Handicap is 100% of difference between average and 425. Applications at Kick Off Tournament. Committee consists of Kevin Dyer and board.

Singles Tournament---January 20th, 2008 at Grand Blanc Lanes, Grand Blanc, MI

2 squads: Squad A:  Check in at 9:00 am  bowl at 10:00 am
  Squad B:  Check in at 12:30 pm bowl at 1:30 pm
Entry Fee $20 and will bowl by divisions: 179 and under, 180-189, 190-199, 200-214, 215+. Entry blanks at 425 Tournament and houses thereafter. Tournament. Committee consists of Susie Fisackerly and board.

Trio Tournament-- March 2nd, 2008 at Richfield Bowl, Flint, MI

2 squads: Squad A:  Check in at 9:00 am  bowl at 10:00 am
  Squad B:  Check in at 12:30 pm bowl at 1:30 pm
Entry Fee $60 ($20 per member). Handicap is 100% of team difference between average and 635. Applications at Singles Tournament and houses thereafter. Tournament. Committee consists of Rudy Venegas and two volunteers.

National 700 4 Person Tournament--Galaxy Lanes, Grand Blanc, MI.  Applications in houses by Kick Off Tournament.  Will take place during the months of May & June. Cost per bowler per event is $25.  Singles, doubles and team (4 person). Team bowling is 3 squads on Saturday, singles and doubles on Sunday. $5.00 optional all events. This is your chance to bowl in a National Tournament, which is hosted by the Flint 700 Club. We are excited to have the opportunity to have this tournament and know we have your support.

Extra special thanks to Sue Thomason, Jerry Fisackerly and all who helped with 50/50 and raffles. Darrel Craw made a motion to adjourn, second by Troy Stamm. The board passed the motion and the meeting was adjourned at 8:45 p.m.
