Flint 700 Club Crowns Champions for 635 Trio Tournament!
Read a note from the tournament director Flint 700 Club Starts New Tournament for Senior Bowlers!The Flint 700 Club started a new tournament intended for senior bowlers. This new tournament was a 425 Doubles tournament with a little twist. The top 10 doubles teams were seeded based on qualifying scores and then they bowled a Baker match against their opponents. The first ever winners of this tournament were Phil Littlejohn and Willie Fant who happened to be the oldest doubles team in the tournament, they defeated Satkowiak/Patterson in the best 2 out of 3 Baker format. Flint 700 Club Crowns Champions for Singles Tournament!Mike Rodriguez was the overall winner of the 700 Club Singles tournament with a 751 actual series and he led the 215 and over division. Winning the 201 to 214 division was Duane Hiller with a 746 series and winning the 190 to 200 division was Al Olah Jr with a 717 actual series. Winning the 180 to 189 division was James Vernier with a 673 series and the 179 and under division champion was Todd Thornton with a 624 series. State Jamboree ResultsThe results for the State Jamboree Tournament that was held in Monroe the last weekend in October are now available! Click Here for Results - - Scores National Tournament to be held in Grand Blanc, for 5th year in a row in 2008!For the 5th consecutive year, the Flint 700 Club has agreed to host the National 700 Club Tournament at Galaxy Bowl in Grand Blanc, Michigan. This tournament will be held in May and early June of 2008 and be sponsored by the Greater Flint Visitors and Convention Bureau. Last years tournament had a record prize fund of more than $7,500. Andy Knake picked a great time to shoot his first 800
series. Andy bowled a career high 805 actual series and helped lead his team
to the 700 Club Trio Tournament Championship. Andy teamed up with Robert
Cooper and Greg Kremarik to win the 2008 tournament.
The
Flint 700 Club held their 5th annual "425" Doubles Tournament on Sunday,
December 9th at Colonial Lanes. The tournament attracted 105 doubles teams
this year a decrease of 4 teams compared to last years tournament that was
held at Nightingale Lanes. The winning Doubles Team was Rob Ploof and Troy Stamm with a 1468 total. Troy Stamm
led the doubles team with a 279 game and a 747 actual series. Rob Ploof
supplied a 259 game in a 718 actual series for an actual doubles total
of 1465.
